Layout (paper space)

Compose printable sheets — title blocks and viewports onto the model — for plotting and PDF output.

Model space vs paper space

The Plan / Profile / Sections / 3D tabs are model space — the real-world design at full scale. A Layout tab is paper space — a sheet at a paper size (A1, A3, …) onto which you place scaled viewports that look into the model.

Working with layouts

Status The Layout tab is the home of paper-space drafting (sheets, title blocks, viewports, dimensioning). It uses generic 2D-CAD drawing primitives rather than the semantic civil objects of the design tabs — a line on a sheet is just a line. Capabilities here expand over time; check the in-app Layout ribbon for what is available in your build.
