Command reference

Every menu / ribbon command, grouped by area. Commands are also reachable from the ribbon and, where shown, by keyboard shortcut.

File

Command	Does
New	Create a new, empty document.
Open…	Open a `.yu3d` project.
Open Recent	Reopen a recently edited project.
Save / Save As…	Write the project to a `.yu3d` file.
Import DXF…	Import alignments / surfaces from a DXF file.
Export DXF…	Export the design to DXF (surfaces as 3D faces, alignments/corridors sampled).
Export LandXML…	Export alignments and surfaces to LandXML 1.2.
Close Tab	Close the current document tab.
Quit	Exit the application.

Command	Does
Undo	Undo the last change.
Redo	Redo the last undone change.

Command	Shortcut	Does
Alignment	Ctrl+Shift+A	Lay out a centreline as a tangent chain.
Curve	Ctrl+Shift+C	Fit a circular curve from PI and radius.
Spiral	Ctrl+Shift+S	Add a clothoid spiral by radius and length.
Surface	Ctrl+Shift+U	Interactive surface drawing.
Offset Alignment…		A true parallel alignment at a signed offset.
Alignment from Corridor…		Extract a centreline from a corridor edge.
Corridor Feature Lines (all)…		Extract every breakline string from a corridor.
Alignment from Existing (copy)		Duplicate an alignment.
Best Fit Alignment…		Least-squares alignment through points.
Connected Alignment…		Join two endpoints into one alignment.
Junction (Intersection)…		A curb-radius junction between two alignments.
Finish Tool	Esc	Exit the current drawing mode.

Move Alignment…	Translate by X, Y.
Rotate Alignment…	Rotate around a pivot.
Mirror Alignment…	Mirror across an axis or point.
Delete Alignment	Remove the selected alignment (Delete).

Command	Does
Create Points on Screen	Place points interactively.
Create Points from File…	Import from CSV / TXT / PTS.
Northing/Easting…	One point at N, E, Z.
Station/Offset (alignment)…	A point at station + offset from an alignment.
Divide Alignment…	Points at N equal segments.
Measure Alignment…	Points at a fixed interval.
At Alignment Geometry	Points at PC / PT / TS / ST.
On Grid (surface)…	Sample a surface on a grid.
Intersections › Direction/Direction…	Cross two bearing rays.
Intersections › Distance/Distance…	Cross two distance circles.
Interpolate › Between Two Points…	Equally-spaced points between two locations.
Slope › Slope/Grade − Distance…	Point at bearing/grade/distance.
Point Group Style…	Marker colour/size, number/elevation labels.
Sub-Group by Criteria…	Filter points by number/elevation range.
Connect by Feature Code	Linework by joining same-code points.

Surface from Point File…	Triangulate an imported point cloud.
Corridor Surface + Volume…	Build a TIN from a corridor and compute cut/fill.
Surface Style…	Border / triangles / contours + intervals.
Add Surface Breakline	Draw a breakline on a surface.
Surface History…	Review / revert surface construction steps.
Corridor → Properties…	The Corridor Properties dialog (right-click a corridor).
Corridor Region Blend…	Smooth assembly transitions across regions.

Open Assembly Designer…	The flowchart Composer + previews + library.
Corridor → Flowchart (sample)	Generate a flowchart from a corridor's assembly.
Superelevation Editor…	Manual override diagram, or auto from the standard.
Curve Widening Editor…	Pavement widening taper on curves.

Command	Does
Grid System…	Create/edit a 3D axis grid or extract section planes.
Section from Grid	Generate cross-section cuts from a grid.
Section Plane (drag)	Drag a section-plane gizmo in 3D.

Coordinate System…	Set the CRS and enable scale factors.
Design Standard…	Pick AASHTO / RAL / VSS / KGM and design speed.
Distance Inquiry (Grid/Ground)…	Distance between two points, grid and ground.
Scale Factor Report…	Scale-factor heatmap and statistics.
Language	Switch UI language (EN / DE / IT / FR / TR).
Modules…	Enable/disable optional plugin modules.

Top / Front / Side / Isometric	Ctrl+1..4	Preset 3D camera orientations.
Reset	Ctrl+0	Frame the whole model.
Panels		Toggle docks: Objects, Properties, Command, Profile, Cross Section, Alignment Builder, Profile Builder, Design Issues, Event Viewer.

Identity…	Set your name/email for change tracking.
Share Current Project…	Publish to a central model.
Open Shared Project…	Join a shared project.
Sync to Central (F9)	Push and pull changes.
Release My Nodes	Release ownership of edited objects.
Change History…	Edit log with authors and times.

The Command dock accepts text commands and inline prompts: MOVE, ROTATE, MIRROR, DELETE, plus prompted point/radius input during drawing.
